About Marty

I'm a proud Greensboro native and the fifth generation of my family to call this wonderful city home.  After earning my degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, I spent several years building a career in management within the private business sector.  I had the opportunity to work in Atlanta, Charlotte, and the Durham/Chapel Hill area before returning to Greensboro to raise my family.  

My professional background has shaped who I am today, and  Real estate allows me to combine my business experience with my passion for helping people.  I believe in teamwork, honest communication, and hard work, and I bring that mindset to every client relationship.  I strive to be a knowledgeable, reliable and caring guide throughout the process, and I am deeply committed to excellence in everything I do.

I have loved raising my children here in Greensboro alongside my husband, Dr. Brian Sumner, MD.   Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, gardening, playing tennis and occasional mahjong, relaxing at the beach, and caring for animals.  

I genuinely enjoy spreading my excitement about this community because I truly believe that Greensboro and the surrounding areas- and North Carolina as a whole- offers an unbeatable blend of opportunities, culture and quality of life.
